We work with following powdered compositions:
1. Metal - polymer and bimetal powdered compositions; 2. Functional graded powdered compositions; 3. Powdered compositions, traditionally used in technologies of Self-High Temperature Synthesis (SHS).
::Meso and Nano structures under SLS/M
Here is present some results of our researches in Meso /Micro, Nano/ - Electro - Mechanical Systems (MEMS -NEMS) synthesis.

The main goal of our research is to find prospective powder compositions for the fabrication of functional parts by the SLS process, and to study their properties and synthesis conditions. The results are expected to be utilized in medicine (orthopedic implants), the oil, gas and chemistry industries (filter elements, catalytic membranes), in electrical engineering (piezo elements) and in auto, aerospace and other branches of precision engineering. In other words, the applications encompass any industry where there are problems of modeling and RP&M, which utilize powdered materials. The list includes: a) shapes cast from a sintered master pattern; b) functional customized parts and tools with unique physical characteristics.

The current studies at prof. Shishkovsky group are directing on the searching of new perspective powdered material and compositions (including meso-, nano size and/or reaction-capable) for using in technologies of laser syntheses of 3D parts and MEMS micro-electro-mechanical (Nano-EMS) devises.

Directions of my current researches:

  1. 3D intermetallic synthesis (including biocomposite implants) from exothermal SHS of powder compositions, determination of the optimum SLS conditions and analysis of a phase structure.
  2. Computer modeling and synthesis by a SLS/M methods:

International cooperation with Laboratory "Diagnostics and Imaging of Industrial Processes" (Diagnostic et Imagerie des Procédés Industriels - DIPI) in the National Engineering School in Saint-Etienne (l’Ecole Nationale d’Ingénieurs de Saint-Etienne).
