Atmospheric chemistry is rightly a matter for scientific enquiry for many researchers from around the world. They identified a wide range of kinetic data on atmospheric processes. Despite the great work of researchers, many processes in the atmosphere are poorly understood. These include processes involving active oxygen species. Recently we observed the new effects in the pure oxygen-ozone mixture which are caused by the processes involving active oxygen species. Here is our new experimental evidences testifying that active oxygen species effect significantly on the atmospheric chemistry are presented.

Kinetics of chemical and energy-exchange processes  in the oxygen-iodine mixtures are extensively studied in many applications. The primary focus of these studies is on the kinetics of Oxygen-Iodine Laser (OIL) active medium. Investigations of the kinetics of the active media of OILs performed for many years have led to the development of a megawatt cw laser. However, the potential of OILs is far from being exhausted. Recent studies of the kinetics of the excited states of particles in the active medium of OILs open up new directions of their further development. Here are our studies of the kinetics of chemical and energy exchange processes in an oxygen-iodine mixture.

Oxygen-iodine laser (OIL) is very high energy source of coherent radiation. OIL is considered as a laser weapon on board an aircraft to destroy ballistic missiles in the boost trajectory. The recent testing of this laser weapon reveled that at the moment it is necessary to solve many technical and scientific problems. Here is our contribution to the development of this laser.
